For example, in Part Two we are introduced to something the author calls an “Infinite I,” which is creating our unique holographic experiences. Then there is the “Human Game Model,” offering explanations all the way from why we experience pain and suffering to how we can change our reactions and responses by letting go of our judgments, beliefs, opinions, and fears. The end result, suggests the author, is peeling away all the layers of false identities that make up the “ego,” transforming and emerging from our cocoon as a “no-self.”
Part Three of the book is a series of questions and answers to offer alternative explanations consistent with these models on subjects such as money, past lives, karma, trust, and the “Earth Environment.”

I give this book five stars although there is a resource out there that thrills me beyond Butterflies are Free. It is Davis's five-part Holographic Universe series on Youtube. Davis showed me that there is never any reason for guilt or worry, and helped me to sidestep the limitations of pride.Davis does not get bogged down in the label of "enlightened" . There is no trying, suffering, or self-flagellation. Davis introduces a model in which our experiences have a game-like nature. If you test Davis's model then maybe like me you will find yourself astonished. Imagine yourself delighting in the worst of your past experiences when through your own realizations they transform into elements of a sort of game.
If you stay abreast of contemporary science then you may find yourself debating some of the interpretations of quantum theory in Butterflies. A sufficient amount of the quantum theory presented in the book is known and beyond debate and is sufficient to support Davis's model.
Approach Davis's model with an open mind and I am certain that you will at some point suddenly stop, ponder your surroundings and start laughing with joy. The joy is because you've seen the game-like nature of your experiences and you will feel relief at an unparalleled scale.
After that it is time to have fun, which is the whole point of Butterflies. The book provides a model that promises an end to worry about whether that fun will be interrupted, or whether calamity will visit you in the form of debilitating health or financial problems, etc.
Think to yourself what your creator would wish for you. Does it really make sense to you that such an entity would have an interest in you suffering? Davis doesn't think so and provides a solid foundation for your to adopt a similar joyful outlook.

Parts of the book made sense, in that I have made it point to read as many books on religion AND spirituality (not the same BTW) in hopes of finding the similarities in the different beliefs vs the differences.
I did find several similarities in this book, but finally let it go when the author tried to 1) get us to believe we were all living imaginary lives that were not real in anyway... just pure illusion produced by some higher being so they could experience whatever they wanted... no mater what it was. 2) convince us this is it, there is nothing else, we cease to exist after the game is halted... or we finally realize we must let go of everything at which point the Game Master is satisfied and we are simply discarded into It's consciousness, and 3) that all other spiritual "heavy hitters' were basically clueless in their approach to "life".
The fact he touched on quantum physics was good, however, a better layman's understanding can be found in a book called The Dancing Wu Li Masters. Also I would suggest a book by the Three Initiates called The Kybalion. You will find most philosophies, religions, and thoughts are based of the 7 Principles or Laws of the Universe.
Oh and not a fan of Scientology at all... which the author quoted from numerous times.
I have never commented on any of my purchases before. But, my life has changed so dramatically in the past 6 months, which I credit to this little gem, so that I feel compelled to comment. About 6 months ago, I read this book. I was miserable, very sad and seemingly trapped in an unhappy career and home life. I felt like there was no escape. Once I got past the half way point of the book, where the author specifically tells the reader there is no going back, everything just sort of started to click in my life. I just started to think differently. By the end of the book, I made a conscious choice to be happy and change everything that was wrong in my life. It took work and I expected it to be a years long process. It wasn't. I have started confronting fears on a regular basis and the momentum with the positive changes keeps building. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about this book and what it has done for me. 6 months after I made my choice to be happy, I actually am. Let me be clear, I was VERY far from happy when I started this journey.I do not know the author and have no vested interest in this book, except to let other customers know that it is worth the read and it is FREE. When you first read it through, you will think that the author is insane. Then, you'll start to see that he's totally right about everything and changes will just start to happen. There is magic in this book. "Buy" it and read it. You won't regret it.
